Proposal for a new quality assurance system discussed

UKÄ (Swedish Higher Education Authority) has been commissioned to develop a new system to ensure the quality of Sweden’s higher education programmes. A proposal is now being discussed in a number of dialogue meetings with vice-chancellors, quality coordinators and representatives of students, teachers and the labour market.

On Monday, May 30 a dialogue meeting was held with representatives of student organisations from all over Sweden.

In June, more dialogue meetings will be held with vice-chancellors, quality coordinators and labour market organisations.

Advisory and reference groups

In the process of method development, the Swedish Higher Education Authority has from an early stage established links with a number of advisory and reference groups, including one international group, who in various ways contribute or have contributed to the work.

The decision about a new quality assurance system is scheduled for September 2016.
